2013 Holyoke Winter Carnival
March 1 – 3, 2013
“Winter Fun From the Mountain to the River’s Edge”
The 2013 Holyoke Winter Carnival begins in just four short weeks on Friday March 1, with a free Luminaria event, and ice skating at the new Holyoke Community Field. There will be free Hot Chocolate, music, and other entertainment under the beautiful night sky. You’ll have to dress warmly or huddle around your friends and neighbors, while you take in the effect of 1,000 candle lit luminaries glowing in soft white bags dotting the walkways leading up to the new ice skating rink.
Its a community wide winter celebration of fun and everyone’s invited. We’ll make the first 1,000 luminaries, and your welcome to show your own creativity by bringing one that you made or one’s that your family created together.
And, again this year the Holyoke Winter Carnival welcomes back the wildly popular Dog Show, Firemen’s Hockey benefit, Chili Cook-Off, Pankcake Breakfast, Cake Decorating Contest, and Spaghetti Dinner featuring Zydeco Connection.
To make all these events happen we need your support. The Holyoke Winter Carnival is seeking sponsors to help defray the hard costs of organizing a city-wide community event. In addition volunteers, artists, and musicians are needed to support our endever. If you would like to get involved as a volunteer, email us at firstname.lastname@example.orgPosted on February 4, 2013
